Video/Producer

The heart wants what the heart wants. You can’t convince it to change once it’s made up its mind. But in this case, we wouldn’t want it any other way. Meet Quinn, a video producer who has been mixing his love for storytelling with his limitless creative energy ever since he first picked up a camera. Backed by a belief that immersive stories help people relate to one another, he has been practicing his craft relentlessly.

In his free time, Quinn stays creatively sharp by writing and filming sketches for Mizzou’s student comedy club, as well as performing improv comedy himself. He also loves to spend time isolated in nature, fishing or kayaking. Last year, he helped produce and write a TV show for MUTV, the university’s student-run media outlet. After graduating he plans to specialize in video production and chase his lifelong dream of becoming a screenwriter.

Nour Feghali

Researcher

Meet Nour Feghali, our newest member to the research team. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, this international traveler is about as impressive as they come. Fluent in three languages and serving as a member of the Missouri International Student Council Executive Board, she can easily both talk the talk AND walk the walk. She can even write in English backward.

This past summer, Nour spent a month abroad in the city of Hong Kong, where she interned for McCann Worldgroup. There, she led her eight-person team to victory by winning a simulation pitch to McCann executives for their client, Cathay Pacific. Back stateside, she spends her days here at Mizzou tutoring French and Arabic for the Learning Center and working to bridge gaps between international and local students.

Marley Schmidtlein

Art Director

When she was only a small child, Marley came to the sudden realization that sleep was for the weak. Ever since then, she has been expanding her creative skillset at a nearly freakish pace. The Kansas City native first expressed herself through Irish dance—eventually qualifying for the national tournament with her team. At the same time, she was managing gigs for three different bands, handling their photography, running their social media accounts, designing their merchandise and creating album covers. On top of that, she was interning at an arts academy nearby, where she acquired fine art skills like cartooning, Chinese water brush painting and calligraphy.

Once she made it to Mizzou, she started working as an in-house marketing intern for a dental firm. Essentially a one-woman agency, she got practice writing copy, creating the artwork, designing the layouts of print, web, and out-of-home advertisements, researching campaign strategies and optimizing their corporate website. Most recently, she worked at Adswapper as a graphic designer and social media content manager. There, she learned more about creating and implementing social media campaigns, and redesigned the user experience and user interface of two different mobile apps. Now, her focus is on mastering emerging technology like 3D modeling and augmented reality animation. After graduating, she plans to take her first nap, and then go work for an agency.
