Video/Producer

As a skilled videographer, Connor has the ability to capture the fantastical landscape of his imagination. But if you take away the visual skills and boil him down who he is to a mere block of text, he is simply a diehard Kansas City sports fan and barbecue disciple; the founder and creator of a short film company called Doug the Penguin Production; a producer of a film selected by festivals and screened in Georgia and Missouri; and the president of Bengal Lair’s favorite comedy troupe, MU Improv.

Is Connor a marketing intern who’s destined to bring Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe beyond the mouths of Missourians and to bellies across America, or a young AMC Theater employee whose head is way up in the clouds? If you’ve perused his LinkedIn, you’d agree that he is both! Connor’s love for creating video content has touched the hearts of many in different industries, students all over campus and across the country. But behind the camera is a comedy junkie. After college, he plans to pursue improv and sketch comedy alongside video production. He’s got a future full of giggles, snickers and even wallowing hoots. But no matter how big budget his dreams may be, Connor will always be laughing along with you.

The heart wants what the heart wants. You can’t convince it to change once it’s made up its mind. But in this case, we wouldn’t want it any other way. Meet Quinn, a video producer who has been mixing his love for storytelling with his limitless creative energy ever since he first picked up a camera. Backed by a belief that immersive stories help people relate to one another, he has been practicing his craft relentlessly.

In his free time, Quinn stays creatively sharp by writing and filming sketches for Mizzou’s student comedy club, as well as performing improv comedy himself. He also loves to spend time isolated in nature, fishing or kayaking. Last year, he helped produce and write a TV show for MUTV, the university’s student-run media outlet. After graduating he plans to specialize in video production and chase his lifelong dream of becoming a screenwriter.

Video Producer

Lights! Emma! Action! Emma was practically born with a video camera in her hand. When she was younger, she would film her own Hollywood remakes starring her favorite stuffed animal actors and anchor her own prime time news shows in her living room. When the time arrived, she joined her high school broadcasting class and learned everything she could about proper video production. From then on, it was clear that this was what she was meant to do. Off camera, Emma loves to get outside and experience nature. She has a love for dogs although, tragically, has never actually owned one. Instead, she dreams of someday frolicking outdoors with a dog of her very own.

Emma has worked as a freelance videographer for five years, filming anything from weddings to car commercials. Currently, she is the marketing assistant and videographer for Columbia Strength and Conditioning. During her semester abroad in New Zealand, she was an ambassador for New Zealand Education, where she would produce content and answer questions to prospective students through Instagram. She has also spent time as a correspondent for the State Journal-Register in Springfield, Illinois.
