MOXI

Kari Wichmann
Account Manager
Ambitious leaders can take a team a long way, and Team Moxi is lucky to have trailblazer Kari Wichmann of Olathe, Kansas, as our Account Manager. Kari’s ambition, drive and organization push Moxi to achieve new heights.
Kari sets her own path and paves her own way, an impressive feat considering her involved schedule; no wonder her organizational skills are so good! When she’s not supporting our MOJO Ad team, you can find her coordinating events for the Visual Communications Club, working alongside other team members in Matchbook Marketing, learning through the American Advertising Federation or walking shelter dogs with the Central Missouri Humane Society.
Kari’s adventurous side takes her to places like New York City and Barcelona to explore her passion for traveling while gaining experience in strategic communication. Having worked on a campaign for New Balance at VML, Kari has incredible knowledge of the campaign-building process, and her outside-of-the-box thinking provides her with unique and memorable ideas. Kari’s drive led her to lead B2B marketing campaigns at HoundDog, a local AI software-as-a-service company. As the only woman on HoundDog’s team, Kari has gained strong leadership skills and knows how to take initiative, ever the trailblazer!
Kari is passionate about travel and the new experiences and perspectives that come with it. She discovered this passion after traveling to nine countries in just 35 days in the summer of 2024. She finds her creative inspiration through once-in-a-lifetime travel opportunities and new cultures, experiences she brings back to Columbia, Missouri, to expand the knowledge and thoughts of her classmates. Not to mention, she has been studying Spanish for nearly nine years and was able to utilize her bilingual skills in Barcelona, Spain. Kari never missed an opportunity to explore the world. Safe to say, with Kari, we aren’t in Kansas anymore!

Lainey Hogg
Qualitative Strategist
There’s no doubt that Qualitative Strategist, Lainey Hogg, of St. Louis, is a well-rounded woman. Lainey navigates team projects with ease and reflects her killer collaboration skills in the hard work she produces and the organizations she has found home in.
Last year, she was vice president of External Affairs for her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta, and she continues to practice leadership as she bleeds black and gold for the Alumni Association Student Board. From being the vice president of both Mizzou’s American Advertising Association and Omicron Delta Kappa Honors Society, there is no doubt that the “L” in Lainey stands for “Leadership”.
If you were to ask Lainey what she wanted to be as a child, she would have told you “an executive chef and restaurant owner.” She was always ordering sophisticated meals, unlike her peers, who typically opted for chicken nuggets and cheese pizza. As she grew older, her love for food quickly crossed paths with her passion for journalism. Suffice to say, Lainey is a great go-to when it comes to restaurant and recipe suggestions!
Her knack for storytelling developed into strategic communication, and she can now say she has gained hands-on experience in the food and beverage industry through her work at 160over90. As an experiential intern, Lainey developed marketing strategies for premium spirits brands and assisted in research and vendor coordination.
Lainey goes above and beyond in the academic work she tackles and in the meaningful relationships she builds. She loves connecting with Mizzou athletes as a photography intern through promotional shoots, recruit sessions and live event coverage. Despite requiring intense organization, Lainey loves every second of it. Safe to say Lainey is a true Tiger through-and-through.

Sophie Van Dyne
Quantitative Strategist
As a child, Sophie Van Dyne always preferred research papers. Despite an abundance of fiction novels like “The Magic Tree House” or “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”, Sophie found herself more drawn to the numbers behind ideas and industries. Hailing from Jefferson City, Missouri, Sophie did not have to travel far to explore the various possibilities through the School of Journalism, leading her to be the Moxi Quantitative Strategist.
Some could call her a Jill-of-all-trades with all the strategic communication experience under her wing. She currently contributes to Matchbook Marketing through media planning, graphic design production and brainstorming creative yet effective marketing solutions. Her role specifically emphasizes collaboration, creativity and attention to detail in a fast-paced agency environment.
Queue Ms. Numbers! Sophie’s interest in consumer behaviors is exactly what the women-owned Community Asset Builders needs for communication development. Sophie combines survey research data to inform messaging and support project planning and execution.
When she’s not crunching numbers and dissecting research, she can be found operating the camera for Mizzou’s Daily Blend and Tiger Kickoff or volunteering with her service-sorority sisters from Little Sisters of Gold Rose. Her philanthropy efforts range from MizzouThon to FoodBank to Day Solutions in Jefferson City. Sophie’s heart is big, keeping her consistently involved and motivated to help others and give back to the community.
Sophie loves sports, all things outdoors and exploring new places, so say “Hi” if you run into her hiking local trails, riding her bike or climbing some cool rocks. Sophie considers herself a professional snowboarder—the falling and rolling down the mountain part included. But like Chumbawamba says, “I get knocked down, but I get up again.”

Elise Jessee
Digital Strategist
The best question to ask when it comes to Digital Strategist, Elise Jessee is what hasn’t she done? Elise is as ambitious as a girl can be, making it her prerogative to test out all sorts of strategic communication roles, all while being “chronically online”!
She holds the internal director position for Mizzou’s student-staffed marketing agency, Matchbook Marketing. As part of this position, she oversees six internal teams and leads recruitment efforts for 120+ members.
When she’s not in the MOJO Ad lab, you can find Elise at one of her many clubs, including but not limited to American Advertising Federation, Public Relations Student Society of America and Visual Communications Club.
In 2024, Elise was selected from a competitive applicant pool as an internal communications intern for Burns & McDonnell. While on the team, she coordinated communication initiatives, refreshed branding materials and developed communications plans to support employee engagement.
Elise continues to apply strategic planning and content development techniques as a marketing intern with Archer Technologies LLC. Being part of the team since 2023, Elise has collaborated on the company’s first ESG sustainability report and managed content and design for customer newsletters. In 2024, she had the opportunity to attend and staff the Archer Summit conference in New Orleans, and she recently tackled client reference building to develop the company’s go-to-market strategy and competitive research.
Beyond her innovative and research-backed content ideas, Elise has a hidden talent: the flute. While she could’ve chosen to play any other instrument, she decided to take on the challenge and learn how to play the flute, and the rest is history. Since then, she’s performed at volunteer events, earned first chair in her school’s top symphonic bands and served as historian for the music honor society, Tri-M. She hopes someday, you might find her playing at weddings.

Ashley Rodio
Public Relations Account Manager (Strategy)
Curiosity is the root of all good ideas—that’s why Ashley Rodio is our PR Account Manager (Strategy). PR is practically Ashley’s middle name. With two PR internships under her belt and crisis communications experience, she understands the importance of strategy and authentic communication.
Being far from her hometown of Denver does not stop Ashley’s ambitions. In fact, last summer, Ashley went even further from home, studying in Florence, Italy. While abroad, she applied classroom knowledge and skills to work as a PR intern at W Tuscany Events and Florence University of the Arts, curating brand image to public media platforms, working in experiential public relations and assisting in event planning.
While PR is Ashley’s practice, storytelling is Ashley’s passion! Storytelling motivates Ashley to pursue PR and strategy, something she got to put into practice while writing blog articles for Florence University to help build the school’s reputation and image.
With Ashley back in Columbia, she welcomes hundreds of prospective students from across the country to the Missouri School of Journalism as a journalism ambassador. After all, who better to show off the School of Journalism than the Public Relations Student Society of America president?
After graduation, Ashley will be returning full-time to FTI Consulting, where she interned this past summer, supporting high-profile crisis accounts. She’s excited to practice her skills further in crisis scenarios in litigation, cybersecurity and more.
Don’t worry, Ashley is dynamic, so she knows how to sprinkle some fun in with her hard-working professionalism. One of her passions is food. Whether it’s trying new restaurants, flavor profiles or new recipes, she lives her life around food. You can catch her experimenting with unique dishes every month and perfecting her homemade sourdough recipes. Moxi is happy to have a PR Account Manager with such good taste!

Sydney Brown
Media Planner
Sydney Brown does not settle when it comes to creativity and is driven to be the best Media Planner that Moxi could ask for. The Olathe, Kansas, native produces professional and outside-of-the-box ideas. When she isn’t enjoying her new hobby of reading fantasy books, Sydney practices strategic communication skills through her membership in school organizations like Public Relations Student Society of America, American Advertising Federation and Matchbook Marketing.
Fast learning is nothing new for Sydney, as she tackles many projects for various companies. Sydney has worked as a media intern for MMGY Global, a strategic communication intern for Mizzou Athletics and a digital marketing strategist for The Employers Resource. With these experiences, she has become well-versed in web design management, media planning and strategy, and graphic production.
Outside of MOJO Ad, Sydney pays forward her love for learning as a teaching assistant for Strategic Communication’s Digital Strategy course and volunteers her time at Central Missouri Humane Society. She also helps fundraise for “Service for Sight” as a member of her sorority, Delta Gamma.
Sydney’s imagination bleeds into her everyday life, beyond the Moxi creative team. Reading fantasy novels has been her most recent escape from reality. As a mental health advocate, she believes it’s important to find outlets and activities that have a positive impact on an individual’s mental health. For her, that outlet is her nose in a book.

Harper Kehl
Art Director
This resilient creative is from St. Louis and is dedicated to producing graphic content that meets client needs. Harper Kehl is pulling into the imagination station as Moxi’s Art Director. Harper’s dedication to art and creative communication is reflected in her work experience.
Starting in 2023, Harper became the creative lead for Mizzou’s Matchbook Marketing, where she managed a full creative team, producing multiple weekly graphics for various social media platforms. Additionally, she took initiative in directing Matchbook’s summer recruitment, increasing engagement and generating the highest number of applications.
Harper’s bright and imaginative ideas also assisted Jasper Paul PR and Marketing. As a social media intern, Harper tackled content creation among eight local St. Louis hospitality and food-centered clients. The food media industry isn’t the only thing well seasoned. Between her Jasper Paul PR and Marketing internship and graphic designer position with Savor Columbia, you can count on Harper to complete graphic projects in the Adobe Creative Suite—a system she is beyond familiar with.
At Savor Columbia, Harper managed and created all print ads and layouts for magazine publication, ensuring the client’s print advertising needs and expectations were met. Harper enjoys magazines and is an active member of the Mizzou Magazine Club. Her passion for art and advertising crossover with her involvement in the American Advertising Federation and the Visual Communications Club at Mizzou.
Early rising isn’t for everyone, but for Harper, it comes easily; some might say she’s caught the running bug! She loves talking about anything and everything running, but she admits the hardest part of being a running fanatic is convincing her friends to run with her. If you’re looking to get into running, give Harper a call!

Kara Jayne (KJ) Moulder
Art Director
Introducing Art Director, KJ Moulder! Our team’s aspirations are brought to life with KJ’s genuine nature and creative eye. Her passion for art does not go unseen. KJ has been an active member of the art community in her hometown, Kansas City, Missouri, for years. At age 7, she dressed as an artist for career day in first grade. At age 9, she began playing guitar, which led her to become a student and volunteer with the non-profit organization, Art As Mentorship KC.
In 2024, KJ found herself among other resourceful creatives from all over the world as a student at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. She witnessed award-winning work and met leaders in the industry, learned new ways to bring big ideas to life and built connections with industry powerhouses like Ogilvy, Spotify, Google, Reddit, Meta, Pinterest and more. Prior to attending the festival, KJ built a creative brief for Spotify’s “Future Lions” competition.
Being a part of groups and opportunities that help her learn excites KJ. Organizations like American Advertising Federation Mizzou, Mizzou Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and PRSSA allow her to spark her curiosity and get her creative juices flowing.
As a freelancer, KJ designs logos and graphics to assist in branding, helping several companies in Missouri! If you want a piece of her original work, you can find her selling her art with StudentMade Mizzou!
You can catch KJ traveling whenever she gets the chance. She lived in France for three months after studying the French language from the age of 13, and has visited seven total countries. She loves the outdoors—she has hiked two 14ers in Colorado and frequents the Katy trail as an enjoyer of fresh air and the occasional sunset (she’s always hoping to run into a dog she can pet).

Lily Burger
Video Producer
Creativity has been woven into the life of Video Producer, Lily Burger, for as long as she can remember. Ever since she was 3 years old, she’s been a dancer. Her favorite type of dance? Tap. She loves hearing the rhythmic taps of the dancer’s feet and finds satisfaction when the team hits the final beat of the performance altogether.
Lily is from Elgin, Illinois, and, after graduating high school and stopping competitive tap and jazz, she wasn’t quite ready to fully let go of dance yet. Today, she continues her tap-dance journey by taking classes in Columbia. Music strikes as an inspiration for Lily’s work. Oftentimes, she uses the tunes to figure out what camera angles to implement and aesthetics to portray in her work.
Over the past few years, Lily has worked as a digital video intern for the Village of Mount Prospect, a content development intern for the Mason Contractors Association of America and a digital ambassador for the Mizzou Alumni Association. While working for the Village of Mount Prospect, she created and edited videos for the Television Services department and served as a filming production assistant. She also conducted interviews and wrote transcripts for podcasts.
Lily has experience away from the camera as well. She sourced and created articles for MASONRY Magazine and their digital website, Masonry Design. She understands how to increase engagement of audiences via highlight videos that connect with the audience. She was able to practice these skills in the content she created about events, donation opportunities and department spotlights at the University of Missouri for the Mizzou Alumni Association.
Lily’s creativity is unmatched, and we cannot wait to see how she gives life to Moxi!

Ellie Weien
Copywriter
Growing up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, art was always an outlet for Copywriter Ellie Weien. Whether it was family sketch nights or playing the “guess that song” game, the house of Weien’s walls were painted with creativity. Ellie came to Mizzou knowing one thing: she wanted to be a storyteller.
Ellie finds that a genuine connection is the key to all good storytelling, loving to talk to new people and hear their experiences. She believes every day, ordinary people have the best stories to share and she is driven to live a life where she can help voice those valuable narratives.
Her interest in writing led her to test the waters and dive into organizations at Mizzou—and boy, are there a lot to choose from! Ellie started in Matchbook Marketing as an internal PR specialist and was co-president of the Mizzou Magazine club for a year. In fact, she was the first to make Magazine Club an officially recognized organization on campus. She continued to write for Her Campus Mizzou, loving the creative freedom to write about whatever she connected with.
Do you know what a surety bond is? Neither did Ellie when she started as a marketing intern for SuretyBonds.com. Ellie spent a year working for the company researching niche bonds, writing detailed and informative copy and producing internal company videos. In her time at SuretyBonds.com, she published over 65 web pages.
If you think surety bonds are random, wait until you hear this! Ellie is captain of Terror Mizzou—Mizzou’s Women’s Club Ultimate Frisbee Team. She will be the first to admit ultimate frisbee is one of the most random sports, but don’t knock it! From the heat of August to the ice of winter, she braves the weather spectrum for the sport she loves.

Isabella Trost
Public Relations Account Manager (Content)
In her hometown of Millstadt, Illinois, Isabella’s second grade teacher told her that she “writes with a strong tongue” based on one of her written responses to a test. Though she had absolutely no idea what her teacher meant at the time, she decided to trust her and continue writing. In fact, her pencil hasn’t been lifted off the paper since! It’s a good thing she is Moxi’s PR Account Manager (Content)!
Whether it be in her literature classes that will earn her a major in English or her tutoring and administrator position at the University of Missouri’s Writing Center, Isabella wants to be surrounded by reading, writing and words themselves.
Isabella is creative, detail-oriented and, most of all, determined to make the young writer in her proud by taking on roles like St. Louis CITY SC’s community relations intern or a strategic communications’ Public Relations intern for the School of Journalism. You can read her work on the School of Journalism’s website!
She looks forward to any time she puts words on blank sheets, whether it be for assignments, emails or sharing personal stories. To her, writing is thinking critically, and she never stops thinking! She is also trying to complete her Goodreads book goal of 50 books in 2025, currently reading Fellowship of the Rings. When Isabella is not spending her time in words, you can find her cuddling up with her orange cat, Blaize, making coffee or talking her fiancé’s ears off about the books she is reading!
