Our Account Manager, Kaitlyn Bailey, is the anchor of the team. Her unparalleled organization, ability to stay strong under pressure and collaborative outlook allow her to guide the team with grace and empathy.

Her impressive background began at ABC 17 News, where she interned as a producer for the network’s weekend morning broadcasts. At Columbia Business Times, she worked with both COMO Magazine and Columbia Marketing Group creating social media calendars and blog posts for local clientele. She’s also interned in account services at Woodruff, a full-service marketing and communications agency where she played a pivotal role in day-to-day client relationship management. Through all of this experience, Kaitlyn has nurtured her love of building well-founded relationships with clients and has shaped her stellar leadership style.

On campus, she’s involved in multiple organizations within the strategic communication field. At Matchbook Marketing, she worked as a social media strategist for organizations including BLOC KC, Teachers Like Me and the Columbia Senior Center of Boone County. As a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, she served as the vice president of marketing and recruitment and the primary recruitment video chair, managing the organization’s external communications and social media platforms.

Beyond her professional pursuits, as a proud Columbia native, Kaitlyn is happy to be able to spend time with her family, including her little sister, who is also a Mizzou student. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with friends, reading and volunteering in her local community. You might also find her taking walks with her puppy, meticulously decorating her chock-full planner or diving into an engrossing Netflix true crime documentary.

Qualitative Strategist

Meet Abby Moriarty, our intrepid Qualitative Strategist from Elmhurst, Illinois. Abby’s knack for drawing critical insights from her research combined with her incredible commitment to her work makes her an asset to any team she is on. 

Abby has a wealth of experience to bring to our team. During the 2023 spring semester, Abby worked as a marketing intern at the Donation and Transplantation Institute Foundation in Barcelona, Spain. There, she conducted research on fundraising and social media audience strategies, redesigned the foundation’s website, and created content—in both English and Spanish—for their website and social media accounts. In the summer of 2023, she worked as a social media intern for Risa Venezia, a sustainable luxury fashion startup based in Venice, Italy. Her work focused on creating compelling content to expand the brand’s engagement on Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn. Here at Mizzou, Abby works as a graphic designer for Trulaske College of Business Study Abroad where she creates graphics that are displayed in the business school and on the program’s website.

Outside of her work as a stellar communicator, Abby is an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the Trulaske College of Business Study Abroad program. She also regularly volunteers at the Central Missouri Humane Society, where she works with shelter and foster dogs. Our team loves Abby so much, we wish there were three of her! Sadly, since cloning technology is a little behind, we have to settle for the next best thing: Abby is a triplet! Her other siblings also attend Mizzou, and Abby says she is lucky to have them in Columbia by her side.

Emma Tacchia

Quantitative Strategist

Emma Tacchia is our motivated and adaptive Quantitative Strategist, hailing from Joliet, Illinois. With a strong work ethic and a natural inclination toward teamwork, she brings a unique blend of skills to her role on our team. Emma’s commitment and passion in both her professional and personal lives make her a true force to be reckoned with.

Emma’s comprehensive experience includes working as a Mizzou Athletics marketing intern, where she supported the operations of pregame, in-game and postgame activities for various sporting events. Emma’s contributions extended beyond the field, as she also assisted with email marketing and community outreach efforts in the Mizzou Athletics office. Over winter break, she participated in the J-School’s NYCampaign, where she worked with PR firm Weber Shandwick to create an integrated campaign for one of the firm’s many clients. As a PR specialist at Matchbook Marketing, she excelled in maintaining invaluable relationships for the organization, including press releases, promoting a complete company rebrand and organizing a campus-wide headshot event. Not one to shy away from new challenges, Emma is now an account manager on Matchbook’s Fisch Flips client team this semester.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Emma is an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, where she has dedicated her time and efforts to the philanthropy committee. Collaborating with fellow Zeta members, Emma has spearheaded various events to raise funds for breast cancer education and awareness in the Columbia community. Additionally, Emma brings drive and a competitive spirit to the table from her 8-year-long club volleyball history, culminating in winning a national championship in her final year.

Public Relations Account Manager (Strategy)

Danielle Laue, our Public Relations Account Manager (Strategy), is the queen of all things fashion and trends. From Lisle, Illinois, Danielle uses her ambition, creativity and ideas to take her work to the next level.

This summer, Danielle had the opportunity to work as a creative marketing intern for Mike’s Hard Lemonade Company. As the Creative Marketing Intern, Danielle created content for social media posts, assisted with photoshoots and managed influencer relations. Working for clients like White Claw, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Cayman Jack and MXD, Danielle crafted her creativity in a challenging, yet fun, manner. Additionally, Danielle has served as the social media manager of the Textile and Apparel Management department here at Mizzou. Within this role, Danielle was able to manage the entirety of their social media channels, interview various types of professionals in the fashion and retail industry, develop reports on alumni awards and more! Danielle has also worked as a public relations intern for Rock N Rags boutique where she networked with public figures to help create partnerships and develop the company’s social feed. 

When Danielle is not busy being a social media and public relations star, she is actively involved in Girls on the Run and Caring for Columbia. On top of that, Danielle combines her love for both social media and Mizzou through her involvement as the Gamma Phi Beta recruitment chair and social media head. Despite all her positions and accomplishments, Danielle believes she peaked at 7 years old when she met the Jonas Brothers. It has been Danielle’s greatest flex to date.

Public Relations Account Manager (Content)

From Glenview, Illinois, Tess Tryfonopoulos is our go-getter Public Relations Account Manager (Content) that always knows just what to say. Tess works hard writing and editing down to the last detail to keep our team’s communications right on track.

Tess gained her expertise through multiple job experiences. In the summer of 2021, she worked as a communications intern for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, creating informative documents pertaining to new parish grants and composing press releases for an audience of 59 parishes across six states. During the 2023 spring semester, Tess worked as an integrated communications and reputation management intern for FleishmanHillard in Brussels, Belgium, creating content for several clients and contacting journalists for client press coverage. Last summer, she worked as a communications and public affairs intern for W. W. Grainger in Lake Forest, Illinois, where she developed a 50-plus page PowerPoint design library, updated the company website’s pressroom, made recommendations for social media campaigns and wrote articles for the internal company news site. Tess also works as a Writing Tutor for the University of Missouri Writing Center, assisting other students in improving their writing.

On top of her extensive work experience, Tess is incredibly involved on campus. She is an active member of Kappa Delta sorority, Student Organization Allocation Committee and Pi Delta Phi French Honors Society. Fun fact: Tess loves to communicate in two languages! She fell in love with the French language in middle school and even did an exchange program in high school. She went from minoring to majoring in it here at Mizzou, and while studying abroad in Belgium, she met up with her old exchange partner with whom she has stayed close friends with since the program.

Digital Strategist

Holly Kauck, a native of Elmhurst, Illinois, joins the team armed with an accomplished background in digital marketing, a passion for strategic communication and plenty of GT Dave’s Watermelon Wonder Kombucha. As our Digital Strategist, she wrangles all things internet with expert skill and adeptness. In her time at the Missouri School of Journalism and through work experience, Holly’s passion and technical know-how within this field have flourished.

As a digital marketing intern at CCC Intelligent Solutions in Chicago, she sharpened her skills in multiple industry tools, including 6Sense, SEMRush, Google Search Console and Analytics and Sprout Social. In this role, she also took full control of the company’s social platforms, planning and executing posts. As a teaching assistant for Digital Strategy I at the School of Journalism, she’s excited to have the opportunity to share her love of all things digital with students and help grow their foundations of learning in online marketing. When she’s not imparting her wisdom to fellow J-School students, she works as an SEO Specialist at Division D, a digital marketing firm right here in Columbia. 

Holly is also all about dance! She performs yearly in Mizzou’s dance marathon (titled MizzouThon) and can recite full episodes of “Dance Moms,” so she’s definitely at the top of our pyramid. Holly is also passionate about live music, and attending festivals is one of her favorite things to do in her free time.

Media Planner

Ellie Joplin from Springfield, Missouri, is our proud Gemini and masterful Media Planner. Her driven personality and communicative work style help streamline workflow and motivate the rest of her teammates to reach for the stars. She brings a diverse skill set and background to the team, with an extensive volunteer history and a wide-ranging resume. 

Ellie has volunteered at Camp Barnabas, an organization providing a summer camp experience to individuals with disabilities and chronic illnesses. There, she developed content for their social media platforms through graphic design and photography. She has also donated her time and social media skills to the Springfield Center for Dyslexia Learning and has volunteered at Columbia Love Seat, a non-profit furniture bank. Ellie has worked as a digital marketing intern at the Graddy-Roy Network, where she managed the rapidly growing regional real estate firm’s social media platforms and maintained client communication through email campaigns and customer relationship management systems.

Most recently, Ellie had quite the lively summer break, studying abroad in Florence, Italy, then moving straight to Santa Barbara, California, for a month! She also flawlessly juggles campus involvement as a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, the American Advertising Federation’s campus chapter and the Association of Trulaske Businesswomen. During her free time, you can often catch Ellie rewatching Grey’s Anatomy for the umpteenth time, playing 2048 (she’s actually in the top 6% of all players) or eating sushi.

Claudia Linder

Copywriter

Hailing from Collierville, Tennessee, our Copywriter, Claudia Linder, sure has a way with words. With her passion for her craft and creativity (and a lot of Dr. Pepper), Claudia works incredibly hard with her team to devise just the right message. 

Claudia has had a number of opportunities to improve her skills both here in Columbia and abroad. This past summer, Claudia worked at McCann Prague as a marketing intern to create a campaign pitch for their client, Kozel Beer. Claudia collaborated with a team of students from the Mizzou J-School and Charles University to research and create a plan to target Kozel’s target audience of Czech youths aged 18 to 34. During her time at McCann, she wrote copy for a planbook, advertisement mock-ups and a press release. On campus, Claudia is an active member of Mizzou’s PRSSA chapter. Through PRSSA, she participated in a project to assist Mizzou student-athletes in developing social media strategies and business pitches to form NIL deals with the brands they love.

To say Claudia loves words would be an understatement. Claudia is also an avid reader in her spare time. Her favorite genres are romance and fantasy, and she tries to read every day. In 2023, she read 74 books; her goal for this year is 100. When she’s not reading or writing, Claudia works as a stagehand for the University of Missouri Concert Series. From symphonies to Broadway musicals, Claudia has assisted with all sorts of performances that come to the two concert venues owned by Mizzou.

Video Producer

Tatum Starr lives up to her last name—she is truly a star! From Kansas City, Missouri, Tatum brings fresh ideas and amusing visuals to the team as our Video Producer. 

Tatum loves being behind the camera and will do anything she can to further develop her photography and videography skills. Tatum recently served as a photo and video intern at Burns and McDonnell. In this position, Tatum served as the assistant editor for video and photo projects that were part of ongoing campaigns. Additionally, Tatum worked as a videographer and photographer for By the Blade, a landscaping company. Through these internships, Tatum was able to travel to Houston to film multiple project sites alongside a team of other interns. Tatum further developed her confidence and creativity by working as a videographer for CruzX, a student-led athletic wear company. In addition to working for other companies, Tatum does a variety of freelance work which can be found on her photography and videography Instagram, @mythreeeyes. On the account, Tatum shows the world through her point of view by including graduation photos, product shoots, candid moments with her friends and more!

Throughout her time at Mizzou, Tatum has been a dedicated member of Pi Beta Phi sorority, Sustain Mizzou and Mizzou Entrepreneurs. Tatum’s creativity spans much beyond what she can do with a camera in her hand. In fact, Tatum created her very own eyeshadow palette! By creating her own brand, DONTTOUCHMYFACE, almost two years ago, Tatum was able to create, photograph and brand the entire makeup brand from start to finish.

Zoe Krause

Zoe Krause is the definition of a free spirit. As our Art Director, Zoe is a whiz in all things creative design. A St. Louis native, Zoe loves to bring her artistic vibe and strong work ethic to everything she does. 

Zoe’s past experiences have ranged from fashion boutiques to insurance companies, all the way to Victoria’s Secret. Currently, Zoe is a content creator for the Mizzou Career Center. Zoe uses her creative thinking as her magic weapon to create social media posts, brainstorm weekly themes and events, and plan, edit and shoot every single piece of content for the department. Zoe recently served as the creative department intern for Innovated Holdings where she created detailed social media posts and Reels for the company. Additionally, Zoe worked as a Victoria’s Secret PINK Campus team member as the community outreach coordinator. Within the role, Zoe was able to communicate with local businesses and student organizations to plan events and help lead creative photoshoots and content in collaboration with Victoria’s Secret. Zoe also expanded her creativity skills through her internship with Jbier Boutique as a web, photography and videography intern where she edited videos, designed branded merchandise and edited product photos. 

Zoe currently serves as the Creative Director for Matchbook Marketing Agency, a student-led creative agency. Within her role, Zoe manages and trains the creative leads for the client-facing teams, including Hot Box Cookies, MMGY Global, Thompson Foundation and more. When Zoe is not busy being the cool, creative mind that she is, she volunteers for the Missouri River Relief helping clean up around the woods. Zoe is a big fan of the outdoors and considers herself an avid hiker, having hiked 19 different national parks and counting. Zoe’s favorite national parks include Rocky Mountain, Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Sophie Jones

Graphic Designer

Sophie Jones is our Graphic Designer with a killer creative streak from Quincy, Illinois. Always quick on her feet and ready to work with everyone, Sophie has all of our team’s visual needs handled with care and flair. 

Sophie brings a lot of great experience to inform her role on her team. As a strategic communications intern for Mizzou Athletics, she drafted social media content to promote Mizzou Athletics, conducted post-game interviews and updated the website and roster information. She currently works as a program assistant for the University of Missouri Graduate School. In this role, she creates all the visuals across multiple forms of media, runs the LinkedIn page and edits the website.   

Sophie’s accomplishments don’t end with her professional endeavors. She is currently serving as the vice president and social media manager of Mizzou’s Best Buddies Club. This club creates opportunities for one-on-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As the vice president, she instructs members on effective methods and procedures to run the club, helps organize monthly social events and makes connections with fellow members. As social media manager, she built the club’s social media accounts to promote the organization’s beliefs and events.

Sophie also loves to make old things new again! One of her favorite things to do is to go thrifting; Sophie has many fond memories of going with her grandmother when she was young. Most of her wardrobe consists of clothes that Sophie has given a new life. She also has an impressive vinyl collection, and a lot of them came from thrift stores.
