As steadfast as a statue, and handsome as one too, Hunter Hart carries the role of Account Manager on his ever so broad shoulders. Hailing from a long line of Buckeyes, this mold-breaker blazed his own trail to Mizzou with a smile on his face and a passion for leadership.
Less of a shark and more of a shepherd, Hunter is the strong hand that guides this team along with many others on campus. Hunter has previously held various leadership and strategy positions with Relevant Youth, Monigle Brand Experience Agency and the Mizzou Athletics department.
As our Account Manager, Hunter will oversee everything that’s going on like a kind big brother (but not like a “Big Brother” big brother, like a cool one that buys you soda and lets you win in Mario Kart), provided that there isn’t a college football game on.
At first glance, Mckenzie Knapp might seem like your run-of-the-mill brilliant mind who is extremely adept at her role as our Digital Strategist, however, we try not to be superficial here. Look past that organized and dedicated exterior, and you’ll find an even bigger heart. When she’s not working at her digital marketing internship with World Wide Technology, Mckenzie uses her time for others, whether that means volunteering her time to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals with her sorority Phi Mu or advocating for campus accessibility with Mizzou Disability Coalition.
Being from St. Louis, Missouri it’s a no-brainer that this Blues fan dreams of one day working with her favorite team. But until then, we should consider ourselves lucky to have someone like Mckenzie behind the wheel, not only for her accomplishments, but also because she was able to avoid being trampled while taking pictures at a Mizzou football game as a freshman.
From Kansas City, Missouri, Lauren Bunten emerges as our Video Producer. A woman beyond her time, this classic rock fan likes to spend her time head bobbing to the legendary tunes of Boston, Styx and Queen. While her taste in music might be old, her ideas are far from it. We will rely on Lauren’s creative vision to be a driving force in this campaign.
Aside from MOJO Ad, Lauren is also a member of the American Advertising Federation, the Association for Women in Sports Media and has also done videography and editing work for Mizzou Athletics.
This hard-working Hufflepuff is a super fan through and through. If it isn’t Harry Potter or Friends that are on, Lauren is probably just asserting her role as the No. 1 Chiefs fan in the world by screaming at the TV and wearing her future husband’s jersey (it’s Patrick Mahomes, he just doesn’t know it yet).
Tess Murray, though a bit farther away from her home in Darien, Illinois, than her parents might prefer, she has established herself as a champion of the Missouri Method here at Mizzou. Truly embracing the spirit of learning by doing, Tess lives and breathes advertising through her involvement in the Mizzou Magazine Club, the student chapter of the American Advertising Federation, as well as her recent internship at Dentsu McGarryBowen.
A cottage core queen like Tess comes but once in a Blue Moon. She has an eye for decor and enjoys fitting everything into its neat little place, a skill that will no doubt aid her as she fills the role of Qualitative Strategist. Tess is the bridge that will allow us to authentically connect with our target audience, a simple task for someone who grew up with five other siblings.
They say the third time’s the charm, but in Julia’s case, it was luckily the second. Transferring to Mizzou after one year at Miami University in Ohio, she fell into our arms, and sometimes, down the occasional flight of stairs. As fiery as the Wendy’s ghost pepper ranch she lives and dies by, Julia brings life to any gathering. Her outgoing and chipper attitude works wonders to brighten any room as she shares her brilliant ideas, as well as her favorite TikToks.
With her stylish taste, there’s no other After Effects ace we’d rather have as our Graphic Designer. Before she was on MOJO Ad, Julia established herself as a veteran content creator through her positions at OBP Agency, the MU Strategic Communications graphic designer and as a Product Development Intern at Estée Lauder.
If all of Brittany Kummerer’s friends jumped off a cliff she probably would too because- well- she’s done it before. Whether paragliding in Portugal, traveling across the United States or volunteering at her service fraternity, Brittany is always up for a new experience. Probably one of the only people that can claim to be more comfortable when she’s uncomfortable, Brittany’s cultured and divergent thinking will undoubtedly aid this team in formulating creative solutions.
This resident daredevil will serve as our Content Manager, holding the final seal of approval on what is ready to be sent out, and helps to proof the work of others along the way. It might not be as exciting as the literal sensation of flying, but hey, a bird’s gotta land sometime.
Lindsay Neuhas is a dependable foundation, upon which we will build our house. As our Media Planner, Lindsay will be at the forefront of ensuring the integration of this campaign and is on the pulse of new and emerging trends to put us on the cutting edge of the ever-shifting media landscape.
But what makes this workhorse tick? Well, aside from her multiple positions as Marketing Director and Brand Marketing Manager at Workhorse, quite a lot. She has devoted many hours over the years at various women’s shelters and cherishes time with her two sisters: Adrienne and Ashley.
When her roles in the American Advertising Federation or Mizzou StuMo don’t keep her busy, she’s likely venturing out and trying something new, that or chowing down on a hearty ziti or homemade lasagna.
Funny, debonair, able to eat an entire tub of roasted red pepper hummus in one sitting; these are just a few things that could be said about Johnno. As the team’s Copywriter, he will need to be proactive in his creative process in order to expertly concept and execute our ideas. Perhaps he’ll just put his roughly five years of improv and performance experience to good use and make it all up on the fly.
With experience in creative writing, graphic design and video work, Johnno has done a little bit of everything but feels most at home when he’s simply working on something he’s passionate about. Alongside MOJO Ad, Johnno also works as a part of the Culture and Experience Department at Veterans United.
As a firm advocate of the “take things as they come” mentality, Johnno plans to complete his degree in style and then see where the wind takes him. Maybe he’ll wind up in an ad agency in New York? Or perhaps a movie studio in Los Angeles? He remains hopeful.
As this team’s unofficial official cheerleader, it’s no surprise that Nikki brings the pep wherever she goes. Her outgoing personality draws people in and her staunch opinions, such as the fact the milk goes before the cereal in the bowl, make them stay.
Having previously worked as a member of Division-D Ad Agency, Relevant Youth and as the Social Media Lead for the Osage group in Columbia, Nikki is practically overqualified to serve as our diligent Quantitative Strategist.
A jack-of-all-trades, Nikki has always been torn between her interests in STEM, as well as arts and writing, but feels that she has reached a healthy middle through her Strategic Communication studies here at Mizzou. After college, Nikki hopes to work in the video game industry, doing marketing research for new releases or possibly just speedrunning in her Minecraft server, whichever comes first.
Public Relations Account Manager
What else is there to say about Jasmine Pierce, aside from the fact that she’s a world-traveling, brunch enthusiast who likes to swim with dolphins? For one, she’s our punctual Public Relations Account Manager. As the head of PR, Jasmine will act both with the creative team to create content for social media, but also as part of the account team to shape the overall tone set by our campaign. As someone well versed in many cultures, Jasmine will undoubtedly be able to use her talents and experience identifying with others to keep us all striving to achieve a common goal.
Previously, Jasmine worked as a part of the National Association of Black Journalists and for Mizzou Alternative Breaks. You can catch her volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House Charity or binging HGTV in the background while she puts her brushes to the canvas.
Alec Slonneger is, by many definitions of the term, an artist. From producing music to starting his own clothing line to designing fresh designs, Alec has a creative vision to share with the world.
As a lifelong vegetarian and a mentor to aspiring high school creatives, Alec cares about life and works hard to uplift those around him. As our Art Director, he will be in charge of the overall vision of our campaign; everything from graphics to videos will pass through his artistic lens and out into the world.
Stepping aside from the visual world, this Taco Bell fanatic is also a bit of an audiophile. Producing and mixing music for himself and others as a side project has given him quite the ear, something necessary for someone who moonlights as a DJ.
