Meet Britton “Like the Country” Cunningham. Don’t worry, she’s aware it’s not actually like the country, but she continues to flaunt the tagline. Even though she’s not British in any way, she is obsessed with the Western European nation and its iconic Union Jack. The only region she loves more is the great state of Texas, her beloved home state for which she reserves a special place in her heart.
Britton explored some new territory this summer as she traveled halfway around the world to speak at the International Media Conference in Seoul, South Korea. Not only did she provide an engaging presentation full of global YAYA facts, she also managed social media for the entire conference. Back in the states, Britton made her mark in Kansas City, Kan., claiming it as her new home for two months. As the Site Management Intern for PlattForm Advertising, Britton wrote content, created websites, backlinked and managed social media. This explorer is joining Team Hatchet for her second semester as a MOJO Ad copywriter. Last semester she worked with T.G.I. Friday’s to create a happy hour campaign designed to bring the brand back to its bar roots.
The next territory Britton would love to conquer is Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. She has been a fanatic follower of every conference Apple has held in the past two years, always tweeting live with extreme enthusiasm. You can only imagine how excited she is about the upcoming iPhone 5 (and rumored iPad mini). She graduates in December, so Cupertino better watch out - the British (might) be coming!
